Fabio Vieira spent the 2024/25 season on loan with FC Porto, making 11 goal contributions including three appearances at the FIFA Club World Cup.
The attacking midfielder joined us from Porto back in June 2022, shortly after helping Porto win the Portuguese league and cup double.
A promising opening season in N5 saw him provide six assists and score twice as we finished second. He began the 2023/24 season on a high by scoring the decisive penalty to secure our shootout victory over Manchester City at Wembley in the Community Shield.
The Portuguese playmaker also netted in our 5-0 home win over Sheffield United, but was then laid low with a groin injury, eventually returning to action in March 2024.
The left-footed creative midfielder, who combines a deadly long-range shot with elusive movement and clever passing, racked up 14 assists – including two hat-tricks – and six goals in 27 Primeira Liga appearances in his final season as a permanent Porto star.
A Porto player from the age of eight, he won the UEFA Youth League in 2019 and made his first-team debut a year later. He also helped the Portugal Under-21 squad to the final of the Under-21 European Championships in 2021, winning the Player of the Tournament award.
