Academy product Reiss Nelson will always be remembered for his incredible winning goal against Bournemouth in March 2023. A strike that won him the Premier League Gamechanger of the Season award.
The winger, who often plays on the right but can play anywhere in the forward positions, joined our academy aged eight and made his debut in the 2017 Community Shield aged 17.
He signed a long-term contract in summer 2023 and made 23 appearances for us in 2023/24, scoring in the Carabao Cup and contributing two assists in the Champions League.
He has undertaken a series of loan spells during his career, with his first for German side Hoffenheim on loan in 2018/19. In 2019/29, he made 22 appearances for us, including scoring against Liverpool.
He also scored from the spot to help beat the Reds in the Community Shield in 2020. He spent 2021/22 on loan at Eredivisie side Feyenoord, playing 32 times and playing a key role in the run to the Europa Conference League final.
In 2024/25, Reiss spent the season on loan at Fulham. After a promising start, his season was ended early after picking up a hamstring injury.
